Free Workshops for Lithium Battery Transportation

DOT has been issuing rules that specify packaging methods for lithium batteries and battery-powered devices to prevent short circuiting during transportation. To further educate the regulated community on the dangers presented by, and the proper shipping of, these batteries, DOT and EPA are making four free workshops available to the public. These 3-hour workshops will provide an overview of the latest regulatory requirements for proper lithium battery packaging, marking, and labeling as well as a basic understanding of how to apply DOT’s hazardous materials regulations.
